Carrington Woods is a new home community in Longs coming soon.  D. R. Horton purchased this property in April of 2024.  D. R. Horton has not yet announced their specific plans for development.  As of May 2024, preliminary insight into Carrington Woods via Horry County Land records shows that the community is being platted for 90 single family homes.

In February of 2024, Chris Manning Communities sold the approximately 100 acre piece of land that currently houses the remaining 18 holes of the River Oaks Golf Course to Mungo Homes. There are plans to build approximately 220 single family homes on this parcel of land.
