Two new Carolina Forest elementary schools set to open August 2025!

Two new elementary schools are coming to the Carolina Forest area!

One of these new Carolina Forest elementary schools will be at the corner of Ronald McNair Boulevard and Christa McAuliffe Street.

The other new Carolina Forest elementary school will be at the corner of Carolina Forest Boulevard and Stafford Drive.

Both of these new Carolina Forest elementary schools are scheduled to open by August 2025.

Plans are already in place to change the attendance lines at the existing Carolina Forest Elementary, Ocean Bay Elementary, and River Oaks Elementary schools.

The Horry County School (HCS) District will submit a final plan for approval by the Horry County Board of Education in mid-November. HCS expects to submit proposals for the new schools' names, mascots, and colors to the Board in November as well.
