Stroudswood Construction – Tunnel to Towers Foundation – Andy Kingsley - Myrtle Beach

Since 9/11, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation has been helping America’s heroes by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building specially-adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders.

In 2010, while serving with the 1st Battalion, 321st Field Artillery Regiment, Army Spc. Andy Kingsley suffered traumatic injuries when he was struck by a mortar round during an attack July 12 near Camp Salerno, about 50 miles from the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.

In 2024, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation partnered with local Myrtle Beach area builder Stroudswood Construction to make significant renovations to Mr. Kingsley’s roughly 2,500 sq ft home in Myrtle Beach to smart-home-adapt the home while complying with American Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.

In October of 2024, Stroudswood Construction successfully the completed nearly 4-month long construction effort and the Kingsley family moved in to their newly renovated home!

First and foremost - thanks to a true American hero in Andy Kingsley for his service!

Also thanks to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and Stroudswood Construction for their efforts to transform the Kingsley family’s home in Myrtle Beach.
