Brookhaven in Conway
Brookhaven is the current name of the proposed community near the intersection of Juniper Bay Road and Highway 378 that could be coming soon to Conway. The current proposed development of Brookhaven would include over 1,000 residential homes, a city park and stormwater ponds.
Developers have been working with Conway City Council for numerous months in an effort to come to an agreement on the project.
Current proposals for the Brookhaven community would be to develop as a conservation subdivision – maintaining a significant portion of the development site in common open space by minimizing individual lot sizes
The primary issue with the Brookhaven project is Conway City limits. The land set to be annexed is right on the border of Conway, but would still use Conway water and sewer. Conway City law requires annexation when a piece of property is outside city limits but uses city water and sewer services is bought and/or sold.
The proposed new home community of Brookhaven is set to go to the planning commission on August 1, 2024.
