Bayline is a new home community coming to Calabash, NC.
The new home community of Bayline is located just south of Highway 17 in Calabash, less than 30 minutes from Myrtle Beach, about 45 minutes from Wilmington and just a short drive to Sunset Beach.
Bayline is a large new home community on approximately 1,009.30 acres of land in Calabash.
In June of 2021, Brunswick County approved 1,796 single-family units as well as 363 townhomes in the new home community of Bayline. In addition to the 2,159, an additional 151 units were approved in the city limits of Calabash. The current master plan for Bayline has remained unchanged.
Since that time, the Calabash Board of Commissioners approved the annexation of this land into the Calabash Town limits. This also changed the Brunswick County zoning designation of Planned Development (PD) to the Calabash zoning designation of Planned Unit Development (PUD).
The Bayline community was originally approved under the name of “Stone Farm”.
The master site plan that was approved by Brunswick County includes a connector road from Old Georgetown to Thomasboro Road. The Bayline Planned Development includes 1,850 varying residential units with acreage along Thomasboro Road and Old Georgetown Road for commercial development.
Criteria Development, based in Alabama, is involved with the land development.
D. R. Horton is expected to be the builder in Bayline.
As of June 2025, land development is well underway. D. R. Horton has not yet announced timing or pricing for the new home community of Bayline in Calabash, NC.
